Located in the heart of Johnson County, Joshua is conveniently located along Highway 174 on the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railroad. This small town of just over 6,000 residents has 8 school campuses in Joshua ISD. The town is located just a few miles from Burleson and Cleburne, making it easy for residents to access amenities and activities in any of the 3 towns.

Family fun is easy to find near Joshua, TX. Located just down the road are Pirate’s Cove and North Texas Jellystone Park. Pirate’s Cove is a water park with 11 water slides and a 1,750-foot-long lazy river, perfect for hot Texas summers. North Texas Jellystone Park is a Yogi Bear themed camp park. Whether you like to sleep out under the stars or get cozy in a cabin, Jellystone Park is an adventurous getaway for the whole family.

History of Joshua, TX
The plat for Joshua was surveyed in 1880, and by 1882 Joshua’s first store opened. Joshua began with a small population of 300 and the first one-room school opened in 1890. Joshua was a farming town that grew cotton and potatoes and did not become incorporated until the mid-1950’s. Although the town remains small, it has grown tremendously since its’ incorporation and grew from 58 businesses in 1980 to 239 businesses in 2000.
